Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information over the Internet, on the telephone, and through our offices, is fundamental to the way Linkonlearning Inc. conducts its affairs. Linkonlearning Inc. operates on the basis of a Privacy Policy and related procedures that guide the handling of personal information collected. This privacy statement is provided to demonstrate Linkonlearning Inc.'s commitment to protecting the privacy of those that use its products and services, partners and Web site visitors.
1. Collection of Information
Linkonlearning collects personally identifiable information such as names, e-mail addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and demographic data, including but not limited to the cites, postal and zip codes, school names, and interests of those that access Linkonlearning.com. This information is submitted when the user 1) registers for Linkonlearning services, 2) completes surveys, and 3) sends emails to Linkonlearning. This information may be used to process and maintain user accounts, compile demographic statistics, and/or display relevant information and advertisements to users.
When a parent/administrator registers, their name, e-mail address and other profile information is requested. When a student account is added by a parent/administrator, the student’s name, e-mail address, other profile information, and credit card and billing information is requested. We may also request additional profile information for optional online surveys and identity verification.
In the course of using our website we log information, including user IP addresses, user browser types and versions, and URLs from which users access Linkonlearning.com. Linkonlearning uses IP addresses to help administer Linkonlearning.com and anonymously track content preferences and traffic patterns.
Linkonlearning uses cookies, small text files transferred from our Web site to your hard drive, to recognize repeat users, track usage behavior, and facilitate your access to and use of Linonlearning.com. Cookies do not damage files or allow anyone to access your personally identifiable information. They simply allow information and advertisements provided at Linkonlearning.com to be tailored to the individual user accessing the site. The goal is to make your visit as meaningful to you as possible.
If you send us correspondence, such as e-mails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities on the website, we may store such information in order to serve you better.
2. Use of Your Information
Linkonlearning uses profile information to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, review Web site usage, and improve the content, offerings, and services provided by Linkonlearning.
Linkonlearning may use profile information for market research purposes and to generate aggregate reports on individual student interests and behaviors. Linkonlearning will not, however, identify specific individuals in reports.
With your prior approval, we may use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about new products and services provided by Linkonlearning and special offers we think you may find useful. If you would rather not receive such notices, please contact us at support@linkonlearning.com.
Linkonlearning may use your e-mail address, mailing address, phone and/or fax number to contact you if necessary. For example, an agent of Linkonlearning may contact you to ensure you are satisfied with the service or to update your account.
In the absence of a special relationship between Linkonlearning and another organization to whom it necessary to disclose your information to in order to provide products or services requested by you, Linkonlearning does not disclose your personal information to third parties. Where personal information is transferred to another organization, Linkonlearning requires the organization to respect this Privacy Policy. Information such as passwords and/or credit card numbers is never disclosed.
Linkonlearning may disclose user information in special cases, for example, when we have reason to believe it is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interfering with Linkonlearning’s rights or property, other Linkonlearning users, or anyone who could be harmed by such activities. We may disclose user information when we believe, in good faith, that the law requires it.
3. Notification of Changes
Linkonlearning Inc. reserves the right to change this policy and it may be updated periodically. These changes may affect the use of personal information. Accordingly, please check for changes regularly. If at some point there is a change to our information usage practices that affects your personal or identifiable information, we will notify you by e-mail of the relevant changes. At the time of that message, you will be able to opt out of this information usage by sending an e-mail message to support@linkonlearning.com.
4. Control of Passwords
You are required to control your password as described in the Linkonlearning Use Agreement.
If you have forgotten your password, click on LOST PASSWORD in the login window. Enter your first and last name and your e-mail address as it was registered with us. Your password will be e-mailed to you shortly thereafter. To change your e-mail address in our system, call 866-42LEARN and speak to a representative.
Linkonlearning will never ask for your password in an unsolicited phone call or e-mail.
5. Security
The security of the information you provide to Linkonlearning is important to us. We use encryption software, and other security measures to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of sensitive information under our control. We use Secure Socket Layers (SSL) to encrypt sensitive data you send to us. Access to our site is password protected. A high-strength firewall protects our database from outsiders. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while Linkonlearning strives to protect personal information, it cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to it or received from it electronically. This is especially true for information transmitted via e-mail. Linkonlearning has no way of protecting that information until it reaches it. Once a transmission is received, Linkonlearning makes its best efforts to ensure its security on its servers. Internally, access to personal information is restricted to employees who need access to the information in order to do their jobs. These employees are limited in number, and are knowledgeable about and committed to our privacy policies.
Linkonlearning site includes banner links to other sites from our sponsors, and when you choose to visit those sites, we are not responsible for their privacy policies or actions, and you should review the privacy policies of these parties when supplying personally identifiable information to them.

When you access Linkonlearning.com, you agree to the collection of the above-described information by Linkonlearning and the use of that information as outlined in this policy.
7. Privacy Protection for Children
Linkonlearning urges parents, teachers and guardians to discuss with children they are responsible for restrictions regarding the online release of personal information to anyone they don't know and to monitor their children's Internet activities. We strive to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). We use our best efforts to establish and maintain reasonable procedures to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of personal information collected from children, as we do with information collected from all those that access Linkonlearning.com, although no assurances are provided.
No part of our Web site is specifically structured to attract children under the age of 13. Parental/Guardian consent is required for any child under 13 years of age to submit Personal Information to Linkonlearning.com. Only a parent or guardian may register a child for access to Linkonlearning.
We will provide to a parent or guardian, upon proper request and identification, the following information about their child: (i) a description of the specific types of personal information collected from the child, and (ii) the opportunity at any time to refuse to permit us further use or maintenance in retrievable form, or future online collection, of Personal Information from that child. Certain exceptions may apply to the foregoing provisions, pursuant to COPPA and other applicable law.
If you are a teacher, school administrator, tutor or similar party, entering information about children, you represent that you have proper authority to submit the child’s personal information, and agree to hold harmless Linkonlearning from any and all claims relating to the acceptance and use of such information.

This site may contain links to other websites; Linkonlearning is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these sites. You have the option to change or modify information previously provided by revising your member profile online or by contacting Linkonlearning via e-mail to support@linkonlearning.com.
